Shirley May (Souza) Reine
August 8 1953 - May 9 2005

These two poems were written for me from Scotty G. who has been a big part of Shirley & Melvins's life. They took him under their wings, when he was down and out. He now resides at Plymouth MCI and all he does to keep his mind busy, is write beautiful poems. He too,is struggling with Shirley's death.

MY SISTER'S LOVE I've known my sister's love for a many of years. It's everywhere I go, I see it so clear. I wear it like a shirt, it hums in my ears. Wakes me up in the morning and drowns me with tears. All through the day, she's in the back of my mind. Telling me she loves me, and sends me signs. When the sun shines bright, I think of her smile. If the sky is crystal clear, all I can is her eyes. Her beauty is resembled in so many things. Like a a blossoming flower, or when a windchime rings. Every day we spend a lot of our time together. And I know my sister loves me both now and forever.

DO YOU KNOW, SHIRLEY, DO YOU KNOW? Do you know what I'm going through, a life on my own and living without you. So much has changed and nothings the same, all day I hum your name. I look for you almost everywhere, places we used to go, But you aren't there. My heart is broken and spirits are shattered, you were always there, when it truly mattered. So do you know what I'm going through, because life right now isn't life without you. SISTER I KNOW YOU KNOW!!!

She fought a good fight up until her last breath. WE LOVE YOU.........SHIRLEY GIRL Your beauty is missed in every way. "Forever in our hearts." REST IN PEACE AND MAY JUSTICE BE SERVED
